This section is used to change a physical network NIC configuration.
Global Settings
The global settings to change a certain network NIC configuration are the following.
Name. The system name of the physical interface. Not editable.
MAC. The link-layer MAC address assigned to the NIC by its vendor. Not editable.
IP Address. The network-layer IP address of the NIC. It supports IPv4 and IPv6. This field is mandatory and the Netmask field must be also set if DHCP is disabled.
Netmask/CIDR. The subnet mask of the NIC. It supports Network mask format or CIDR (0 to 32 bits) when using IPv4 or only CIDR format (0 to 128 bits) when using IPv6. This field is mandatory and the Address field must be also set if DHCP is disabled.
Gateway. Default gateway in IPv4/IPv6 format used by the NIC.
Alias. Interface alias, it identifies the interface with an alias that can be easily accessed when configuring a farm or any other service.
DHCP. Enable or disable the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) for the NIC. If enabled it won’t allow static IP address configuration and will require a DHCP server running and reachable.
IPv4 and IPv6 stacks are supported, take into account that the Netmask and Gateway must be configured in the same stack than the IP. Once all the required changes are done, press the Submit button to apply the new changes.
