This section explains how to create a virtual interface and the different options available.
Create Virtual Interface
Find below the detailed options to create a virtual interface.
Parent Interface. Set a NIC or VLAN interface as a parent where the Virtual Interface will be configured.
Name. Set a name to identify the new Virtual Interface, the name starts with the name of the Parent Interface followed by the virtual interface name ID to be used, and they are separated with a colon character. Note that the number maximum of characters for any interface name is 13 characters, including the part of parent interface.
Address. Set an IPv4 or IPv6 address for the new virtual interface. Netmask and Gateway will be inherited from the parent interface.
Once all the required changes are done, press the Create button to create the new virtual interface.
